About "Artemis SLS Block 1 in Flight - V1"
In this illustration, NASA's Space Launch System (SLS) takes flight. The SLS rockets, the most powerful that NASA has ever built, are designed to work with the Artemis series of missions to return humans to the Moon for the first time since 1972. The rocket shown here is SLS Block 1, which successfully launched on 1 April 2026 and kicked off the Artemis II mission. Four astronauts will travel beyond the far side of the Moon before returning home.Details
